I personally do not understand why anyone would buy a laser welder when you can buy an Orion. First of all it is thousands of dollars less and you can do everything that you can do with a laser. I actually think you can do more. You are limited in size by what fits through the armholes of a laser. I have the microscope and the shield so I can get into every nook and cranny I need to get into. Once you get past the learning curve it is the perfect tool.
I feel it is worth every penny.

The Orion is unbelievable! I wish I had one 20 years ago because it is the single best tool ever made to this day. I have been researching and watching for a tool like this for many years and it is finally here. It has been so cost effective that it has paid for itself in 6 months. I am 100% pleased with this tool and this tool has enabled me to do repair and fabrication that was impossible before it now.
The other new technologies such as the laser welder and other welding systems cannot compare to the Orion's power and versatility. The welds are at least 3 to 5 times stronger and are deep seated to ensure greater strength. I have never had a job returned from a weld not holding. The price and maintenance cost of the Orion vs. the laser welder is not even close.... the Orion is almost 4 to 5 times less and installation and maintenance is almost zero.

I bought a welder last fall and I've been thrilled with it since I've had it. It's done everything I've wanted and more. I couldn't be more happy.
